29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer did not provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces. a) Estes Express Lines, located at 8700 Joliet Rd., McCook, IL 60525: On or about October 16, 2023, an employee used a grab bar and steps set into the dock wall to descend to the ground when the grab bar detached from the wall causing the employee to fall approximately four feet. The employer failed to ensure that a safe means of access and egress to and from the walking-working surface was used.
