29 CFR  1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated   At the workplace located at 401 SE Oldham Pkwy, Lees Summit, MO 64081, employees were exposed to fall or catapult hazards. The employees were observed utilizing an aerial lift to exit a roof without the use of any means of fall protection.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):  Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   At the workplace located at 401 SE Oldham Pkwy, Lees Summit, MO 64081, while working at a parapet wall measuring 24", employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 6' without the use of any form of fall protection.
