29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On October 20, 2023, on the west side of the commercial building, employees engaged in roofing activities on an 8:12 pitch roof without fall protection were exposed to unprotected fall hazards of approximately 17 feet to the ground below.
