29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(ii): A powered industrial truck shall not be left unattended when the operator is 25 ft. or more away from the vehicle which remains in view, or whenever the operator leaves the vehicle and it is not in view. In Building 3, Department 211, employees are exposed to struck-by hazards in that a Yale Veracitor 50VX, #116835 forklift was left running unattended outside the operator's view. Forklift operator went to a break area which was in another room and exceeded the 25 feet standard.
