29 CFR  1903.19(c)(1):  The employer did not certify to OSHA, within 10 calendar days after the abatement due date, that the cited violations had been abated:  Jireh Construction And More, LLC, failed to certify to OSHA within 10 calendar days after the abatement date that each of the following cited violations had been corrected:  Citation 1, Item 1, 1926.501(b)(13) Citation 1, Item 2, 1926.1053(b)(1) Citation 1, Item 3, 1926.1053(b)(4)  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502:   a) On October 24, 2023, company employees were performing roofing work at a 251 - 253 Woodstone Cr., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089, were exposed to fall hazards between approximately 9.7 and 17.6 feet to the ground below while performing roofing work to an existing residential structure.   b) On October 24, 2023, company employees were performing roofing work at a 247 - 249 Woodstone Cr., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089, were exposed to fall hazards between approximately 9.7 and 17.6 feet to the ground below while performing roofing work to an existing residential structure.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  a) On October 24, 2023, company employees were performing roofing work at a 251 - 253 Woodstone Cr., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089, were utilizing aluminum ladders to gain access to the working surface did not have side rails capable of extended at least 3 feet above the surface.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(4):  Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:  a)  On October 24, 2024, company employees were performing roofing work at a 251 - 253 Woodstone Cr., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089, were the employer split an aluminum extension ladder into two halves and provided the fly section to be used as access to the work area on the roof.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
