29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed. (a) On or about October 26, 2023, Outside Storage Area (northeast side of building): Employees were working in the facility where an outdoor emergency route was obstructed by a partially closed chain link fence and foliage on the left side and tires, lumber, and other equipment on the right side under a lean-to. This could delay employee escape during a fire and cause minor burn or smoke inhalation injuries. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer did not develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met. (a) On or about October 26, 2023, Gas Chromatography Room: Employees worked with hazardous chemicals including, but not limited to, Orange Photonics LightLab Solvent Methanol, a category 2 flammable liquid, when performing product analysis. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
