29 CFR  1910.1200(b)(1): The employer did not provide information to their employees about the hazardous chemicals to which they are exposed, by means of a hazard communication program, labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and information and training:    At the jobsite, employees who were cutting masonry stone/bricks with a Makita grinder were not provided a HAZCOM program and training where they were exposed to respiratory hazards from the dust, silica dust and particles.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  At the job site, employees were not provided eye protection when operating a Makita grinder while cutting bricks and stone were exposed to eye injuries from flying objects.

29 CFR  1926.300(b)(1): When power operated tools are designed to accommodate guards, they shall be equipped with such guards when in use.  At the jobsite, employees operating a Makita grinder was not equipped with a guard,  while cutting concrete stone/brick, exposing employees to amputation hazards.

29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer shall fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section.  At the construction site, the employer did not ensure that employees using a Makita grinder and the Dewalt saw to cut bricks/stone were protected from being exposed to silica dust with the use of engineering controls, work practices and respiratory protection.
