29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails were not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access. Location: 143 Pomodora Circle, Wentzville, Missouri. On or about October 30, 2023, where worker used a portable ladder to access the top of a residential building, the ladder was not extended three feet above the landing of the roof top. The condition exposed the workers to falling to the ground.
