29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, a personal fall arrest system, or an alternative fall protection measure as provided by another provision in paragraph (b) of this section: Employees performing roofing work are not protected from fall hazards by the use of a fall protection system. The employer fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about October 31, 2023, on the roof, the employer exposed 4 roofing employees to 8 1/2 feet fall hazard from the eaves in that they were not protected by a fall protection system while installing shingles to the roof. K & G Construction Co., Inc. was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1561633, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on January 07, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 7035 Deer Lodge Court, Jacksonville, FL 322256.
