29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): Basic Requirement. Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, you must report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA. Location: 2000 West Main Street, Stamford, Connecticut On or about an employee was injured on September 19, 2023; employee was vaccinating a one 1/2 year old cat, when the cat turned and bit the Veterinary/ employee numerous time. Employee was hospitalized the following morning , September 20, 2023, for two nights. Employer did not report to OSHA within 24 hours that an employee was hospitalized due to a work incident where an employee / Veterinary was bit by a cat.
