29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a) At the facility, on or about November 1, 2023 - Employees were not required to wear protective equipment such as, but not limited to, splash googles or a face shield when working with Gardoclean S 1391 containing sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide, a corrosive. Employees used Gardoclean S 1391 during cleaning operations. b) At the facility, on or about November 1, 2023 - Employees were not required to wear protective equipment such as, but not limited to, splash googles or a face shield when working with Gardobond A 1449 containing hydroxylammonium sulphate, a corrosive. Employees used Gardobond A 1449 during cleaning operations.
