29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) 31 Building - Behringer Horizontal Bandsaw: On or about November 3, 2023 and times prior, employees used the "New Saw" without a guard on the operator's side of the blade. The employees had unimpeded access and were exposed to the blade during operations causing a potential amputation hazard. (b) 31 Building - Behringer Horizontal Bandsaw: On or about November 7, 2023 and times prior, employees used the "South Saw" without a guard on the operator's side of the blade. The employees had unimpeded access and were exposed to the blade during operations causing a potential amputation hazard.
