29 CFR 1910.157(e)(1): The employer shall be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and testing of all portable fire extinguishers in the workplace: (a): Facility - Two fire extinguishers were not properly inspected/maintained. An inspection tag located on the fire extinguisher indicated that the fire extinguisher was past due for inspection/servicing. The tag indicated that the last inspection/service was conducted in September of 2022 and was void in September of 2023. The fire extinguisher was observed, on or about November 14, 2023. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
