29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(B): The energy control procedures did not clearly and specifically outline the steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy. a) Workplace, Production Area, Line 11 - Employees performing adjustments were exposed to hazardous energy as a result of the employer's written energy control procedures did not include machine specific procedures that contain clear and specific steps for the shut down, isolation and securing of machines such as, but not limited to an Uhlmann Blister Machine Model UPS-2MT; on or about 11/10/23. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: a) Workplace, Production Area, Line 11 - The employees were performing servicing on an Uhlmann Blister Machine Model UPS-2MT without having received adequate instruction on the safe application, usage, and removal of the electrical and mechanical energy controls are acquired by employees; on or about 11/10/23. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
