29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(6):Ladders were used on surfaces which were not stable and level and were not secured to prevent accidental displacement. a) On or about October 5th, 2023, at residential home located 110-27 72nd Drive, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Employees climbed an extension ladder set on the roof of a work van extending to the roof of a three-story building. The ladder was used on an unstable and uneven surface, nor was the ladder secured. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
