29 CFR  1926.651(b)(1): The estimated location of underground utility installations, such as sewer, telephone, fuel, electric, water lines, or any other underground installations that reasonably may be expected to be encountered during excavation work, were not determined prior to opening an excavation:  a) Brick Row, Wappingers Falls, NY  - On or about November 2, 2023, employees for an excavation contractor were exposed to explosion hazards due to USIC Locating Services, LLC having failed to determine the estimated location of gas service line #7. Gas service line #7 was encountered during the excavation work.
