29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) Outside the Dispatch Office Work Area: On or about December 4, 2023, employees performed the task of refilling lead-acid batteries with water, and were exposed to injurious corrosive material, but did not have access to a suitable eyewash unit for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body. (b) Material Handling Equipment Recharging Area: On or about December 4, 2023, employees performed the task of refilling lead-acid batteries with water, and were exposed to an injurious corrosive material splash, but access to a suitable eyewash unit for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body was blocked by equipment.
