29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Janitorial closet: On or about December 6, 2023, the employer exposed employees to burn hazards in that, an emergency eyewash was not available for employees mixing chemicals such as, but not limited to, chlorine bleach, while conducting housekeeping duties. Employees would not have access to a suitable means of flushing the chemical from their eyes, in case of an emergency. The Navy Exchange was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1661545, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on May 30, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 2110 North Coral Sea Ave, Building 17, Oak Harbor, Washington.
