29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about 12/11/2023, in the fabrication shop at 6254 Kempfer Road, St. Cloud, FL.an employee was operating a hand-fed multi-head trim saw to cut 2x4 lumber, ranging in length from 8-feet to 16-feet, during which time the saw's five, 16-inch diameter rotating blades were not guarded; therefore exposing the employee/saw operator to amputation hazards.
