Berth 24-4, Next to Restroom: On and/or about December 14, 2023, employee(s) were conducting roll on roll off operations. A stretcher was leaned up next to an electrical box and positioned where it would be damaged. Employee(s) were potentially exposed to drowning and other hazards associated with extended time in the water.

29 CFR 1918.97(d)(6): Stretchers shall be maintained in operable condition. Struts and braces shall be inspected for damage. Wire mesh shall be secured and have no burrs. Damaged stretchers shall not be used until repaired. Berth 24-4, Next to Restroom: On and/or about December 14, 2023, employee(s) were conducting roll on roll off operations. Stretchers were not maintained in operable conditions. Employee(s) were potentially exposed to drowning and other hazards associated with extended time in the water.
