29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (a) On or before 12/18/23, the employer did not ensure that employees wearing tight-fitting respirators were shaved so that facial hair would not interfere with the sealing surface of the face and the mask. This condition exposed employees to hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, acetone, parachlorobenzotrifluoride, chlorobenzotrifluorotoluene, butoxyethanol, butoxypropanol, titanium dioxide, barium sulfate, and talc.
