29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) On or about December 18, 2023, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that hazardous energy control procedures were utilized when employees were performing servicing and maintenance on hydraulic pins on the box chain conveyor on the log deck where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury. This condition exposed employees to caught-in and crushing hazards while performing servicing and maintenance on hydraulic pins located on the box conveyor.
