29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee to use appropriate hand protection when employee's hands were exposed to hazards from thermal burns and harmful temperature extremes. (a) Outside the back door of the building, while using a cutting torch to loosen and remove paint from the parts rack the employer failed to require the employee to use the appropriate hand protection which resulted in severe burns to the employee's hand.
