Each circular crosscut table saw shall be guarded by a hood which shall meet all the requirements of paragraph (c)(1) of this section for hoods for circular ripsaws.  a) On or about December 8th, 2023 the employer did not ensure that when employees were hand feeding wood through the table saw the adjustable guard that was being utilized on the Powermatic Model PM2700 Shaper, #2 was adjusted down while in use, the guard remained at 5 1/2" inches from the surface of the Powermatic Model PM2700 Shaper, exposing employees to an amputation hazard during the cuts.

29 CFR  1910.305(b)(2)(i): Electrical. Wiring methods, components, and equipment for general use. Cabinets, boxes, and fittings. Covers and canopies. All pull boxes, junction boxes, and fittings shall be provided with covers identified for the purpose. If metal covers are used, they shall be grounded. In completed installations, each outlet box shall have a cover, faceplate, or fixture canopy. Covers of outlet boxes having holes through which flexible cord pendants pass shall be provided with bushings designed for the purpose or shall have smooth, well-rounded surfaces on which the cords may bear.  a) On or about December 8, 2023, the employer did not provide adequate covering to the Powermatic Model PM2700 Shaper table saw's electrical box located at ground level.  The energized covered wires from the control box were hanging from the back through an opening were the cover box missing .   Exposing employees to energized 230v  when turning it on and utilizing the Powermatic Model PM2700 Shaper #1.
