29 CFR  1910.178(l)(1)(i):The employer shall ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l).  On or about December 28, 2023, employees were exposed to struck-by or tip-over hazards.  A forklift operator was authorized to operate both propane and electric sit-down powered industrial vehicles prior to completing initial training and an evaluation of their performance.   Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
