29 CFR 1910.176(a):Use of mechanical equipment. Where mechanical handling equipment is used, sufficient safe clearances were not allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways and wherever turns or passage must be made. Aisles and passageways were not kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard. Permanent aisles and passageways were not appropriately marked. At 6025 Byassee Drive, Saint Louis, MO, 63042, On December 28, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to struck by and caught between hazards from powered industrial vehicles operating in close proximity to pedestrian employees in the dock area. Walking areas were not clearly marked for pedestrian traffic and sufficient clearance in the working area was not allowed to prevent powered industrial vehicles from coming into close proximity with pedestrians.
