29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 PSI: On or about January 2, 2024, compressed air was used at PSI greater than 30 for cleaning purposes due to air guns not being equipped with appropriate safety tip. Operators used compressed air to clean resin debris from the equipment and their body. a) On or about January 2, 2024, operators of the Vertical Milling Machine VM5020 (S/N: 13095) used compressed air for cleaning purposes without an appropriate safety tip that reduced the PSI below 30. b) On or about January 2, 2024, operators of the Vertical Milling Machine VM 3018 (S/N: VM32200311 AAAAH) used compressed air for cleaning purposes without an appropriate safety tip that reduced the PSI below 30. c) On or about January 2, 2024, operators of the vacuum chambers within the tissue mimicking area used compressed air for cleaning purposes without an appropriate safety tip that reduced the PSI below 30.
