Detachable side protectors (e.g. clip-on or slide-on side shields) meeting the pertinent requirements of this section are acceptable. 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles: On or about January 4, 2024, and at times prior thereto, on the South side of the structure, employees utilized pneumatic nail guns without eye protection while performing framing work on the exterior of the structure.
