29 CFR 1926.602(b)(1):Tractors covered in paragraph (a) of this section shall have seat belts as required for the operators when seated in the normal seating arrangement for tractor operation, even though back-hoes, breakers, or other similar attachments are used on these machines for excavating or other work. LOCATION: All of the stair towers on the interior of two of the three buildings inspected at 170 Central Ave. Chelsea, MA On or about January 9th The Employer did not ensure that the operator of the mini-excavator involved in this inspection was wearing his seatbelt at alltimes while operating the machine.
