On or about January 11, 2024, during the operation of the MEDART # 1 Bar Straightener at the work location Gambrinus Plant B, 4748 Navarre Road SW, Canton, OH 44706 the employer did not ensure operator(s) of the MEDART #1Straightener were protected by one or more methods of machine guarding from the moving and rotating parts of the inlet table, employees have access through a hole cut (11 inches wide by 20 inches high) in to the perimeter barrier to allow access to the conveyer system as material (bar stock) is pushed/pulled into the straightener.  Timkensteel Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1910.212(a)(1) Machine Guarding  ), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1570248 , citation number 02, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on (7/13/2022), with respect to a workplace located at 2401 Gambrinus Avenue, SW Canton, OH 44706.
