29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice.  On or about January 11, 2024, during the operation of the #4 Sutton (4-5 Roll) Straightener at the work location Gambrinus Plant, 4748 Navarre RD SW, Canton, OH 44706 (Plant A, Finishing Department). The employer did not ensure that the walking-working surface at the discharge table and around the machine was free from oil/coolant that had leaked on the floor in the working area exposing employees to slip and fall hazards.

29 CFR 1910.25(c)(2): The employer did not ensure that standard stairs have a maximum riser height of 9.5 inches (24 cm).  On or about January 11, 2024, at the work location Gambrinus Plant (Plant B) 4748 Navarre Rd SW, Canton Ohio 44706. The employer did not ensure that during the operation, maintenance, and supervision of the #3 Sutton Straightener (3-2 roll) employees were not exposed to tripping hazards from utilizing the stairway (access/egress points) that had a riser height greater than 9.5 inches.

29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a.	On or about January 11, 2024, during the operation of the #4 Sutton (4-5 roll) Straightener at the work location Gambrinus Plant A, 4748 Navarre Road SW, Canton, OH 44706 the employer did not ensure operator(s) of the #4 Sutton (4-5 Roll Straightener) were protected by one or more methods of machine guarding from the moving and rotating parts of the drive shafts and knuckles; that power the material separating system known as "the dogs".  b.	On or about January 11, 2024, during the operation of the MEDART # 1 Bar Straightener at the work location Gambrinus Plant B, 4748 Navarre Road SW, Canton, OH 44706 the employer did not ensure operator(s) of the MEDART #1Straightener were protected by one or more methods of machine guarding from the moving and rotating parts of the inlet table, employees have access through a hole cut (11 inches wide by 20 inches high) in to the perimeter barrier to allow access to the conveyer system as material (bar stock) is pushed/pulled into the straightener.  Timkensteel Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1910.212(a)(1) Machine Guarding  ), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1570248 , citation number 02, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on (7/13/2022), with respect to a workplace located at 2401 Gambrinus Avenue, SW Canton, OH 44706.
