29 CFR 1910.263(l)(9)(ii): All safety devices on ovens shall be inspected at intervals of not less than twice a month by an especially appointed, properly instructed bakery employee, and not less than once a year by representatives of the oven manufacturers. a) Bakery/deli area - On or about January 17, 2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to burns hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure that all safety devices on ovens were inspected at intervals of not less then twice a month when employees were working with commercial bakery natural gas oven and unloading the products from the oven while they would have to use their feet to maintain the hot surface oven door open.
