29 CFR  1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):  (a) Service Bays, Steet Ponte Nissan, 4967 Commercial Drive, Yorkville, NY 13495, on or about 1/19/2024, The employer did not conduct a hazard assessment of the worksite to determine what personal protective equipment was necessary for tasks that employees were required to complete.   Abatement certification is required.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  (a) Service Bays, Steet Ponte Nissan, 4967 Commercial Drive, Yorkville, NY 13495, on or about 1/19/2024, Employees are exposed to corrosive chemicals including, but not limited to, Gold Plus Degreaser, which causes serious eye damage, Hi Suds NL, pH 9-10 which causes serious eye irritation and skin irritation, and Nissan Brake Cleaner, which causes serious eye irritation, and are not provided with an unobstructed eyewash for immediate emergency use in their work area.  Abatement certification is required.
