On or about 01/16/2024, at the intersection of US Hwy 41 and SR 52, Land O Lakes, Florida, 34638, an employee was exposed to amputation hazards, in that the employer did not instruct the employee on the saw manufacturer's safety requirements of using both hands to hold the saw as described in the saw operator's manual.

29 CFR 1926.304(d): When the saw was withdrawn from the work, the lower guard did not automatically and instantly return to the covering position: a. On or about 01/16/2024, at the intersection of US Hwy 41 and SR 52, Land O Lakes, Florida, 34638, an employee was operating a circular saw/skill saw to cut 2x4 studs to use as concrete forms/concrete form stakes, during which time the lower guard did not automatically and instantly return to the covering position; therefore exposing the employee to laceration, amputation and kick-back/blunt-force trauma hazards.
