These covers should be so arranged and interlocked that power will be shut off whenever the cover is opened to a point where the operator's fingers might come in contact with the beaters. On or about January 30, 2024, Production Area of the Bakery, employees engaged in bakery operations utilizing mixing machines that were not equipped with machine guards were exposed to struck-by and caught-between hazards in the following instances: 1) Hobart Commercial Mixer L800 2) Hobart Commercial Mixer M-802 3) Hobart Commercial Mixer V-1401

This condition exposed employees to electrical shock hazards.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i)(A): Working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less was not provided with the minimal depth in the direction of access to live parts as indicated in Table S-1: On or about January 30, 2024, an electrical panel was obstructed by a metal table and not accessible in the event of an emergency shutdown. This condition exposed employees to fire and electrical hazards.
