29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(iv): The Exposure Control Plan shall be reviewed and updated at least annually and whenever necessary to reflect new or modified tasks and procedures which affect occupational exposure and to reflect new or revised employee positions with occupational exposure. a. On or about December 16, 2023, the employer did not review the Residential Exposure Control Plan at least annually, which led to a lapse in the identification of employees with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and the provision of the Hepatitis B vaccine to these same employees.

On or about December 16, 2023, a mental health technician received a human bite to the lower right thigh, which qualifies as an exposure incident under 29 CFR 1910.1030(b). The employee did not receive post-exposure evaluation and follow-up as required by the standard.
