29 CFR 1910.147(d): The established procedure for the application of energy control (the lockout or tagout procedures) did not cover the actions listed in and was not done in sequence as required by 29 CFR 1910.147(d)(1)-(6): a. U.S. Postal Service, at a worksite located at 1401 W Fort St., Detroit, Michigan: On or about February 1, 2024, the employer did not ensure established hazardous energy control procedures, isolating electrical and pneumatic energy sources on APBS Loose Mail System (LMS) Conveyor Diverter, were implemented prior to an employee performing unjamming activities. An employee tasked with clearing a jam between two diverter modules in an energized condition were exposed to caught in hazards.
