29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Accident prevention responsibilities. Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. On or about February 6, 2024, at a jobsite located at Joliet Court, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin; in the South Building, the employer did not ensure that a competent person was performing frequent and regular inspections that could have recognized slip and trip hazards due to an accumulation of construction waste in the work area.

29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, form and scrap lumber with protruding nails, and all other debris, shall be kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures. On or about February 6, 2024, at a jobsite located at Joliet Court, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin; in the South Building on the third level, employees were exposed to trip and slip hazards while walking in the hallway where nails, screws, drywall, and other debris was on the floor while drywall activities were being performed.
