29CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:   a. 180 Old Bloomfield Ave., Parsippany, NJ 07054  The employer did not instruct employees in the avoidance of unsafe conditions while installing windows from an unprotected roof surface, exposing the employees to fall hazards.   Violation occurred on or about February 8, 2024     29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  Location: 180 Old Bloomfield Ave., Parsippany, NJ 07054.  a: The employer failed to ensure employees working on the pitched roof of a commercial building under construction were protected from fall hazards. On February 8, 2024, an employee engaged in window installation was observed exposed to fall hazards for not having any means of fall protection.  Violation occurred on February 8, 2024.
