29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2):Basic Requirement. Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, you must report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA. On or about February 1, 2024, the employer did not report within 24 hours a work-related in-patient hospitalization injury of an employee that occurred at a client employer's workplace on or about January 29, 2024. The employer was notified the injury resulted in an in-patient hospitalization injury on or about January 31, 2024, and OSHA was not notified of the in-patient hospitalization injury until on or about February 7, 2024, via telephone.
