29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2):29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2): The employer did not ensure that hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces are corrected or repaired before an employee uses the walking-working surface again. The employer did not ensure that if the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard is guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard is corrected or repaired. At the worksite located at 1161 Southeast Hamblen Road, Lees Summit, MO, employees were exposed to same level fall hazards and struck by hazards while moving materials with equipment when the employer did not ensure that hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces were corrected or repaired before employees were allowed to use the walking-working surface again. This was document on or about 2/15/2024 when a hole in the entry way of the overhead door of the shop caused a jack transporting a pump to fall over striking an employee, resulting in an employee being hospitalized.
