29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about February 21, 2024, and at times prior thereto: a. In Building 11 Area, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when operating a JET GHD-20 Drill Press without a point of operation guard. b. In Building 9 Area, employees were exposed to struck-by and caught-in hazards when operating a JET GH2280ZX lathe without one or more methods of machine guarding.
