29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a.  On or about February 21, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee using a pneumatic nail gun while performing roofing operations did not wear safety glasses, thereby exposing the employee to the hazards associated with eye injuries.  The Artemio Gonzalez dba Artemios Construction Services, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1424150, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 16, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 10429 Laramie Ave. Oak Lawn, IL.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b).   a.  On or about February 21, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, twelve (12) feet eight (8) inches, above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  b. On or about February 21, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, eight (8) feet seven (7) inches, above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  The Artemio Gonzalez dba Artemios Construction Services, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1424150, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 16, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 10429 Laramie Ave. Oak Lawn, IL.

On or about February 21, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, the employees conducting roofing operations were not provided training on how to minimize fall hazards, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls.
