29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employees must be able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. A device such as a panic bar that locks only from the outside is permitted on exit discharge doors. On or about February 22, 2024, with respect to an establishment located 2640 West College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54914, the employer did not ensure the removal of security bars on the emergency exit door in the employee breakroom before the start of workday.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): Working space required by this standard may not be used for storage. When normally enclosed live parts are exposed for inspection or servicing, the working space, if in a passageway or general open space, shall be suitably guarded. On or about February 22, 2024, with respect to an establishment located at 2640 West College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54914, the employer did not ensure the working space in front of electrical panels in the break area was being kept clear. The employer has been storing filled water jugs directly in front of the panels.
