29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: (a) On February 21, 2024, and at times prior, at 62nd Avenue and South Washington in Grand Forks, North Dakota, employees engaged in framing and sheathing activities on a 5:12 pitch roof of a new residential construction building, were exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 6 feet without the use of proper fall protection. (b) On February 21, 2024, and at times prior, at 62nd Avenue and South Washington in Grand Forks, North Dakota, employees working on the second floor of a new residential construction project were exposed to falling distances greater than 6 feet through wall openings that were not equipped with fall protection systems.
