29 CFR 1910.178(n)(6): Industrial truck drivers were not required to look in the direction of, and keep a clear view of the path of travel: a). The employer failed to ensure employees kept a clear view of the travel path while operating forklifts. An employee operating equipment that included, but was not limited to a Type E, Crown Integral Model S200 forklift, traveled forward with a load that impeded the view of his path of travel, which resulted in him striking and injuring another employee. Violation occurred on February 23, 2024

If the load being carried obstructs forward view, the driver was not required to travel with the load trailing: a). 50 Cable Drive, Suite 100, Kearny, NJ 07032 On or about February 23, 2024, an employee driving a forklift with its load obstructing forward view, did not travel with the load trailing.
