29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (a) On or about February 21, 2024, an employee working on the FD110K Pneumatic Crimping Press, Part #: FD110K, was able to access the point of operation that was not guarded, thereby exposing the employees to a amputation hazard.  (b) On or about February 21, 2024, an employee working on the FD110K Pneumatic Crimping Press, Part #: FD110K, additionally, had exposure to the point of operation and other mechanical pinch points on the crimping machine, in-that the foot pedal used to the cycle the crimping operation was not guarded to prevent inadvertent contact with the pedal. The pedal was not enclosed with a foot pedal guard.
