29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). a) Excavation located at 126 Riverlake Drive, Woodstock, GA 30188. On or about 02/28/2024, the employer exposed employees to cave-in/engulfment hazards while working inside a trench which measured approximately7-feet deep by 1 foot, 10-inches wide by 17-feet long, in that in that an adequate cave-in protection system was not provided to a employee engaged in 4-inch PVC pipe installation.
