29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. 859 Communipaw Ave., Jersey City, NJ - Fourth floor The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls. Employees engaged in mixed-use building construction activities worked at or near the outside edge of the structure and were not attached with a fall harness and lanyard or had any other means of fall protection. Employees worked from the 4th floor balcony unloading materials from the debris box, outside of the guardrails. Violation observed on or about February 29, 2024
