29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) On or about February 28, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure employees, who are required to use germicidal bleach and 70% isopropyl alcohol for store cleaning purposes, were provided with effective information and training on the hazards of those chemicals. This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): The employer did not verify, through a written certification, that the required workplace hazard assessment had been performed: a) On or about February 28, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure, by written certification, that a workplace hazard assessment which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment had been performed. During the performance of duties, employees were required to use personal protective equipment when cleaning surfaces with germicidal bleach solution and 70% isopropyl alcohol, and when repackaging marijuana product. These conditions exposed employees to chemical hazards.
