29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a.) Isovolta Group dba Haysite Reinforced Plastics, LLC, on or about March 1st, 2024 and times prior thereto: Employees worked with and around corrosive chemicals including, but not limited to, sulfuric acid during forklift battery charging operations, and Lord 310B Epoxy Adhesive. The emergency eyewash stations (self-contained) were not in compliance with ANSI/ISEA 358.1 for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment in that: 1) Three eyewash stations ("Hot room location", forklift battery charging station, and transit inspection area) were blocked/not accessible due to various items/materials that were stored in front of the eyewash stations. b) Isovolta Group dba Haysite Reinforced Plastics, LLC, on or about March 1st, 2024 and times prior thereto: Employees worked with and around corrosive chemicals including, but not limited to, sulfuric acid during forklift battery charging operations, and Lord 310B Epoxy Adhesive. The emergency eyewash stations (self-contained) were not in compliance with ANSI/ISEA 358.1 for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment in that: 1) The self-contained eyewash stations, throughout the facility, were not being inspected on a weekly basis. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
